(April 13, 2020) – As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, I want to share with you Rochester Sensors’ plans to ensure business continuity and the safety of our employees, partners, and customers. Our top priorities continue to be the health and well-being of our employees, ensuring uninterrupted service to our customers and partners, and finally, doing our part in preventing further spread of the virus.
Our thoughts are with those people who are affected and the medical professionals working tirelessly, providing care to those most in need.
Rochester Sensor’s business operations will continue without interruption and we do not anticipate significant impact to our customers. We will continue to fully support you with our best-in-class products while moving forward with upcoming new product launches.
We are following the recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and guidance from the countries we operate in as we strive to help protect our customers and our team members.
We’ve enhanced our existing continuity and contingency plans to best support your success and our employees’ safety during this outbreak:
Remote Workforce. Rochester Sensors has fully implemented a remote workforce across the areas of our global business where applicable. We are allowing our employees to be as efficient with their time as possible, we provide teams with the virtual infrastructure they need to work from home without interruption to our internal or external operations.
Customer Support. Our world class team is built to support you. If you need help managing changes in product demand; we’re here for you.
Employee Wellness. In addition to remote working, we’ve also implemented procedures to prioritize each employee’s health above all else. We’ve cancelled all non-essential travel and remain committed to providing guidance from state and local health departments along with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
We continue to focus on local efforts for employee communication, enhanced hygiene protocols, facility disinfection protocols, forced separation of individuals who are working at our sites and temperature screening / testing at our US, Mexico and China facilities.
Production Continuity. At this time, all of Rochester Sensors’ facilities operations are running normally. Our facilities in the US, Mexico, UK and Belgium have all been identified as “essential” businesses. Rochester has developed contingency plans for all components sourced from impacted countries and creating mitigation plans. We have set up strong lines of communications with our key suppliers to ensure we are working from the most current data on potential issues. Our key suppliers also have “essential” status and at this time we are not experiencing significant delays on components.
Rochester Sensors will continue to closely monitor the outbreak and take all necessary steps to support our partners and customers while protecting the safety of our team based on guidance from local, state, and national authorities.
